Do you want to gain valuable work experience while trying out what it’s like to work in a global and world-leading industry – filled with interesting meetings, high-tech products, and exciting career paths? Then a summer internship with us might be right for you!

Why you should apply for a summer internship with us

At Sandvik, you get more than just a summer job; you get a chance to develop and create valuable experiences for the future. As a summer intern, you become part of a global company where innovation and sustainability are at the core. In Svedala, we have our largest production unit for crushers for the mining and construction industry – and a lot is happening here! We manufacture and assemble large stone crushers that are used all over the world, and we also have one of the largest foundries in the Nordic countries.

You will have the opportunity to grow by working alongside experienced colleagues and learning new tasks, while also becoming part of a safe and inclusive work environment where we value diversity, collaboration, and having fun at work. This is your chance to combine theory with practice, build networks, and take a step towards your future career.

Your challenge

During the summer, we need reinforcement in several different parts of our operations. As a substitute, you will replace regular staff during their absence and help us continue delivering to our customers even during the summer. Examples of roles are primarily in production, but also in warehousing, finance, and product development. Through this ad, you can express your interest in summer jobs regardless of which area attracts you!

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is over 18 years old and who is studying or has completed a secondary education, higher education, or has relevant work experience for the role. If you have previously worked at Sandvik or with similar tasks, that is a plus, but we also welcome other backgrounds that can contribute to our operations. For summer internships in production, it is advantageous if you have training in workshop and technology, forklift or overhead crane certificates, as well as experience from the manufacturing industry, operator work, or assembly. For positions within our support functions, we prefer that you have a post-secondary education in a relevant field. In previous years, we have sought knowledge in production technology, quality, logistics, and materials science. Submit your application, and we will see which opportunities best match your profile!

The most important thing is your attitude, and we are looking for someone who is responsible, meticulous, and curious with a strong desire to learn and develop. You enjoy working with others and are unpretentious, while also taking your own initiatives and striving to find the best solutions. You have a positive and inclusive attitude, are flexible, and can balance short- and long-term tasks simultaneously. Safety always comes first with us, and we care about a culture where we dare to ask for help, address risks we see, acknowledge mistakes, and come up with improvement suggestions.

About us

At Sandvik, we believe that diversity leads to a better environment for our employees, our company, and our customers. With us, you should always feel that you can be yourself at work. We know that this gives you the best opportunities to reach your full potential and contribute to our success. Be unique. Keep your curiosity. We like that! If you want to know more about us, we recommend a visit to our website, LinkedIn, or Facebook.
